Packing and shipping minerals is one of the most important steps of our buying process. Below you can find a detailed, step-by-step illustration of how we pack the minerals to ensure they arrive safely and undamaged.
First, we carefully wrap the mineral in fine, soft paper.
If the mineral comes with a display box, it is placed tightly inside it.
The box is then placed inside a small plastic zip-lock bag.
We add a silica gel packet to protect the mineral from moisture and seal the bag.
The bubble wrap is then used to protect the mineral from shocks and impacts.
The inner package is tightly secured inside a heavy-duty 5-layer protective box.
If the mineral comes with a base, it is placed separately on the side of the box.
The box is closed and sealed with speed tape to ensure it stays shut in transport.
And finally, the package is safely sent to your home!
In cases of very fragile minerals we pack the small box into another larger box to provide extra protection.
Important: Please note that in some countries, customs officers may open the package to inspect its contents and calculate duty fees or VAT. Unfortunately, this is entirely beyond our control.
