Quartz var. Amethyst & Pyrite

€175

The quality of this Amethyst covered with Pyrite from the Chala Mine, Bulgaria, is far superior to what is typically seen on the market. What makes this particular specimen stand out from others from this locality are two key features. First, the Pyrite is not mixed with Chalcedony or other minerals, giving the entire piece a sparkling and exceptionally clean appearance. Second, it shows crystallization nearly all the way around, giving it the character of an almost complete floater. An exceptionally aesthetic piece for a miniature collection. The mine is currently owned by a private company (Gorubso Kardzhali AD), with no public access and is primarily used for gold extraction, so specimens like this rarely come out.
